The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency

The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) provides a range of licencing, testing and enforcement services with the aim of improving the roadworthiness standards of vehicles. VOSA ensure the compliance of operators and drivers with road traffic legislation and supports the independent Traffic Commissioners.

Freight Transport Association

The Freight Transport Association represents the transport interests of companies moving goods by road, rail, sea and air. FTA members operate over 200,000 goods vehicles - almost half the UK fleet. In addition, they consign over 90 per cent of the freight moved by rail and over 70 per cent of sea and air freight.

The association campaigns for the legal, fiscal and structural framework most conducive to efficient freight movement. Establishing performance standards and facilitating development of best practice, FTA raises the profile of the freight movement industry.
